Kim Barrick, founder of The Chestnut Group in 2001, is an accomplished painter, writer, and instructor whose work reflects her dynamic and expressive spirit. Known for her “expressive impressionism,” her art is alive with light and movement, much like its creator. A celebrated wildlife and landscape artist, Barrick’s accolades include numerous awards, solo exhibitions, and large corporate commissions displayed in prominent Tennessee locations. Her work is featured in galleries across the South and West and is held in private and corporate collections worldwide.
Originally from Colorado and now residing in both Colorado and Tennessee, Barrick has made significant contributions to the arts and conservation communities. Teague Moulding was started in 1984 when Lyle Teague began selling moldings on the road at wholesale prices. In a few short years he expanded the business by adding Mexican ready-mades and importing mouldings from Italy where he traveled often to attend trade
Stan Teague joined his father full-time in 1994 and took over ownership when Lyle retired in 2015. Stan continues the tradition of providing great service and high quality hand-crafted products at reasonable prices.

Warehouse 521, a gathering place in Nashville, Tennessee, for artists to learn, create, and be part of a welcoming community, opened in February 2013. Jeanie Smith felt Nashville needed a place where artists could learn the fundamentals of drawing, painting, and sculpture through workshops and weekly classes taught by professional artists. Most classes and workshops are taught using direct observation with live models or still life. In addition to learning new skills, artists working in a hospitable environment creates a feeling of camaraderie as they practice and learn more about art together.
