You're Invited: Plein Air Day at The Hermitage

Join The Chestnut Group for a day of art, competition, and community at Andrew Jackson's Hermitage!

Watch our artists paint live on the historic grounds, browse and purchase original artwork, and see who takes home the top prize in our Plein Air Competition.

Chestnut Group artists compete from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM for a chance to win cash prizes.

Workshops

Throughout the day, Chestnut Group artists will lead four 2-hour painting workshops (10:00 AM–12:00 PM and 1:00 PM–3:00 PM) — a great opportunity for visitors to try plein air painting themselves.

Shop Original Art
Many of our artists will have original paintings and prints available for purchase throughout the day.
